I love riding the ferries around Seattle, there are so many, going to all the different islands, I love getting a glimpse of gorgeous birds which look so different from the Atlantic coast.
I have been lucky enough to be on the outside by the rail and so able to stay in my car and enjoy the views for the 15 minute ride across Puget Sound, this ferry is the Kingston ferry just to the north of Seattle, a little shorter than the ferry to Bremerton Island from downtown Seattle which I had taken last year. As it happens I have taken a different route every year, unplanned, and fun.
